Ozzy was found as a stray wandering aimlessly through places he should not have been, he was collected by the council and placed in containment until he was later collected by Strong Hearts and brought home to thrive and enjoy the company of other chickens.
Ozzy is an ‘Australorp’ breed of chicken which means he is a large Rooster. With that, his future home must be able to provide either a small flock of lady hens to look after or alternatively he can be part of a bachelor flock of roosters.
Ozzy is a little standoffish naturally being a rooster but with the right person and patience can most certainly be taught love and kindness! Roosters can be very personable animals requiring some serious “cuddle jail’ to show them the way.
There are other wonderful roosters and hens on property with Ozzy that would be suitable to re-home with him! Ozzies adoption fee can be waivered if his future adopter would be willing to take some of his friends home with him too.
Ozzy is up to date with worming.

Barney, Bounce & Shimmer

Barney is a cheeky little misfit who wound up inside a busy industrial estate, cornered by the police and terrified, Strong Hearts arrived to rescue him and bring him home to a safe place.
Bounce (Mum) and Shimmer (daughter) were seized from a neglectful situation and brought to rehabilitate here at Strong Hearts where they grew confidence and full bellies whilst being surrounded by many sheep friends.
Together, this trio now thrive spending their days in the sunshine filling their bellies with fresh grass and spoilt with treats. They will happily run straight up to you for a snack but are still cautious of touch, requiring delicate hands to teach them that humans are safe.
MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS
Barney has a wonky horn that does require trimming every 1-2 years as it unfortunately grows into his face, very low maintenance.
All three are up to date with worming, vaccinations and Barney is de-sexed.

Mitch, Clive & Cleo

This trio arrived at Strong Hearts after the pound had collected them wandering incredibly unsafe suburban streets together.
At first, they were wary of people and other animals but as time wore on, their true personalities began shining through!
Playful and bountiful amounts of energy emit from these three small but mighty little goats, watching them frolic in their paddock will undoubtedly supply you with big smiles!
Whilst still mindful of human interaction, these three would thrive in a quiet setting with patient hands to teach them love and safety from humans.
All three are up to date with worming and vaccinations. Mitch and Clive are de-sexed.
