Meet Blacksong & Bam Bam 🐐🐐

Blacksong and her son Bam Bam are a delightful mother-and-son duo looking for a forever home where they can continue thriving together.

The pair came into our care after being picked up by a ranger and taken to the pound alongside five other goats. We suspect the group had spent much of their lives with very little human interaction, as they arrived nervous and wary of people.

Unlike some of the others in the group, Blacksong arrived with her surprise already in tow. Bam Bam was just one week old when he entered our care, meaning he has grown up knowing only safety, full bellies, and kind humans.

While the entire group was initially cautious, Blacksong quickly revealed herself to be the bravest of the adult goats. She's incredibly food motivated and has learned that humans are often the source of delicious treats and tasty browse. These days, she's usually the first to approach visitors, happily accepting snacks and keeping a close eye on any potential food opportunities.

Bam Bam has taken plenty of cues from his mum. Growing up alongside confident Blacksong has helped him develop into a friendly, curious young goat who is comfortable around people and always interested in what's happening around him. Where Blacksong leads, Bam Bam is usually not far behind, making them a wonderful pair to watch.

As rangeland goats, Blacksong and Bam Bam will need a home with excellent fencing. Goats are intelligent, athletic animals, and secure fencing is essential to keep them safe and happy. They will also need shelter from the elements, plenty of roughage and browse, and a family that understands the unique needs of goats. They would LOVE to be adopted with Fable and her twins as well - Blacksong and Fable have often been seen sharing motherly duties!

Both goats are up to date with vaccinations, worming, and lice treatments and are ready to begin the next chapter of their lives together.

**Please note:** Goats require secure fencing, reliable shelter from the elements (goats absolutely hate rain!), and access to plenty of roughage and browse to keep them healthy and happy.
