About me
Meet Mimi 🦙
Mimi arrived at Strong Hearts alongside two male alpacas and a camel after their human became too elderly to continue caring for them.
While Mimi has always lived with her male companions, she now needs to find a new arrangement. Although the boys have been castrated, male alpacas can still show breeding behaviours towards females, which can cause stress and injury. For Mimi's wellbeing, she needs to be separated from them and live with other girls instead.
As you can imagine, this lovely lady is feeling a little lost after such a big change in her life. She would love to join a home with existing female alpacas who can help her settle in and feel secure again. Alternatively, Mimi could be adopted alongside one or two of the female alpacas currently living at Strong Hearts.
Mimi is a gentle girl who is looking for companionship, safety, and a place to call home. With some patient alpaca friends by her side, we're sure she'll blossom into a happy and confident member of the herd once again.
If you have female alpacas and room in your heart for a sweet girl in need, Mimi would love to meet you!
She is up to date with worming, vaccinations, A,E & D injections (vital for alpaca health), lice/mite treatment and nail trims.
Please note: We don't adopt alpacas as herd guardians and care must be taken when paddocked with sheep or goats due to shared parasites.
