Bergamot, Pomelo & Satsuma

Up for pre-adoption applications!

Bergamot, Pomelo and Satsuma are 3 adorable boys who wound up at a pound with 8 ewes.

With the help of another rescue, the whole group found safety and we took in these handsome fellas and they’ve already made huge progress!

Initially, they were incredibly fearful, having been rounded up and moved around a few times but all 3 are now very excited to see us humans because we bring them yummy snacks! Their confidence will only continue to grow with gentle encouragement and calm handling.

Pomelo and Satsuma both arrived entire and are booked for castration after which they will be available for adoption! We would love to secure their adoption with their forever family so that after surgery, they can begin their new lives as soon as possible, which will help them become settled more quickly.

Bergamot is the big wether who is the most shy, however in recent days has started to come and eat out of our hands with his buddies instead of waiting for us to leave before tucking into his breakfast.

Pomelo, is a young ram (with the horns) and has proven to have a tummy bigger than his fears and with his confidence has led the others to trust us as well. Satsuma, the other young ram, is hot on his heels with his bravery.

Please note, although these boys will be castrated before adoption, if you have resident ewes, there will need to be a waiting period before they can mix with them to avoid any risk of unwanted pregnancies.

All the boys will be vaccinated, lice treated, hoof trimmed and drenched prior to adoption. We can also assist with transport statewide!
