About me
Meet Echo 🐮
Echo's story began at Strong Hearts six years ago when his very poorly mum arrived in our care suffering from the dreaded Johne's disease. Sadly, her condition was incurable and the difficult decision was made to let her go peacefully.
Echo was born in our care and remained with us while he grew and reached the appropriate age for Johne's testing. We are delighted to say that he tested negative at two years old, something marked by the three notches in his ear. Since then, he has continued to thrive and become one of the most beloved members of our herd.
Echo is a big, goofy, lovable steer with a personality as large as he is. He absolutely adores attention and affection and is always keen to spend time with his humans. Despite his size, there is not a single ounce of malice in him. He is gentle, kind-hearted, and full of love to give.
He truly is the sort of animal who leaves an impression on everyone he meets. Whether he's being silly, seeking scratches, or simply wanting to be involved in whatever you're doing, Echo has a way of making people smile.
As a social bovine, Echo will need cattle companions in his new home. He is currently paddocked with Hamish and River and would happily be adopted alongside them if the opportunity arose.
If we're honest, it breaks our hearts a little to think about saying goodbye to Echo after watching him grow up over the past six years. But more than anything, we know he would absolutely thrive in a home where he can be someone's special boy, receiving all the love and attention he craves.
Echo is up to date with vaccinations, worming, and lice treatments and is ready to begin the next chapter of his life.
If you're looking for a gentle giant with a huge heart and an even bigger personality, Echo might just be your perfect match.
