About me
Meet Pumpkin Pie & Kiara 🦙🦙
Pumpkin Pie and Kiara are two sweet female alpacas looking for a forever home where they can continue enjoying the good life they have discovered at Strong Hearts.
The girls were part of a group of 12 alpacas seized by council after it was determined that the property they were living on was only permitted to keep two. When they arrived, all alpacas were in poor condition, suffering from urine burn, severely overgrown and twisted nails, and extensive matting around their hindquarters that had become so severe they could no longer lift their tails properly to urinate.
Despite their difficult start, Pumpkin Pie and Kiara have made an incredible recovery and have embraced sanctuary life with enthusiasm. They are curious, friendly girls who are always the first to come running to the fence line to investigate visitors and see what's going on. They happily eat from your hand and are full of the inquisitive charm that makes alpacas such wonderful companions.
Both girls are up to date with worming, vaccinations, vitamin A, E and D supplementation (essential for alpaca health), lice and mite treatments, and regular nail trims.
Now healthy and thriving, Pumpkin Pie and Kiara are ready to leave their past behind and start a new chapter with a family who will cherish them and provide the lifelong care they deserve.
**Please note:** We do not adopt alpacas as herd guardians. Care must also be taken when grazing alpacas alongside sheep or goats due to shared parasites and associated health risks.
