Meet Badger & Vixen 🐷🐷

Badger and Vixen are an adorable bonded pair of pigs searching for the forever home they've always deserved.

Their journey began when they were found wandering and picked up by local rangers. Although their original owners were located, they were ultimately surrendered to the pound, where the pair spent many long weeks waiting for someone to give them a chance. Thankfully, they found their way to Strong Hearts, where they were showered with the love, care and attention they had been missing.

Not long after arriving, Badger and Vixen found what we hoped would be their forever home. Sadly, it turned out not to be the right fit and they have found themselves back in our care and searching once again for their perfect family.

Now 11 months old and weighing approximately 150–200kg each, these two have grown into affectionate, confident pigs with wonderful personalities. They absolutely adore human attention and are more than happy to flop over for belly rubs whenever the opportunity arises. When they're not seeking affection, you'll often find them busy creating the comfiest nests imaginable in their shelter, carefully arranging their bedding just the way they like it.

Like any self-respecting pigs, food is also high on their list of priorities. Their favourite treat by far is watermelon, and they'll happily come galivanting over the moment they think snacks might be on offer.

Badger has been castrated, and both pigs are up to date with worming and mite treatments.

These sweet, friendly pigs have already been through more change than they should have at such a young age. What they need now is a committed home that will cherish them for the rest of their lives, allowing them to enjoy muddy puddles, cosy naps, tasty treats, and all the love they can handle.
