Meet Dougal 🦜
Dougal was released from his prison of neglect when a kind hearted individual saw his plight and negotiated his surrender.
Once free of the hell he was living in, Dougal’s new found human friend set out to find him somewhere safe to live and that was us!
This amazing bird just wants all of the love and affection you’re willing to give and we’re heart broken to know that he wasn’t receiving any.
His poor body is bare from self mutilating, in this case caused by the stress and neglect he has endured. He has already seen an avian vet and we are awaiting test results for any diseases. He had a health check, a fecal and microchip given for good measure too!
Dougal is now in foster care getting all of the attention and love he deserves. Despite his hardships, he is so trusting and he already has some pin feathers starting to grow!
