About me
Auburn may be a little reserved at first, but don’t let that fool you—she’s a gentle soul with plenty of love to give once you earn her trust. She’s content living alongside anyone—whether it’s cats, dogs, or humans—and enjoys the company, though she’s particularly fond of younger cats for play and companionship.
Auburn will take her time to settle in, but once you offer her some pats, you’ll be rewarded with loud, happy purrs and a lot of affection. While she’s a bit reserved, she’s got a playful side that can come out when you least expect it, especially if you tempt her with some creamy treats.
Auburn would be an ideal companion for a calm household, where she can take her time to bond and eventually show her sweet, playful nature. If you’re looking for a cat who appreciates the quiet moments but also has a fun side to discover, Auburn might be your perfect match.

Medical conditions
Auburn has tested positive to Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), which might sound scary, but it truly isn't. It just means Auburn has a slightly weaker immune system, so if they get a sniffle, it's better to take them straight to the vet rather than adopting a 'wait and see' approach. Auburn can live happily with other cats that do not have FIV, therefore there is very minimal risk to any of the other cats in the household.
There is a lot of misinformation about FIV, so please visit our website for more information before ruling out this sweet kitty: https://www.strongheartscats.com/fiv-cats
