About me
Beautiful Jemima has been so fearful of the world and she's now realising that humans aren't so bad!
Jemima was left behind on a property where all her goat friends were moved on and she remained, too scared to allow herself to be caught.
Vets For Compassion - a not-for-profit helping stranded, injured and displaced animals - safely darted her so she could be brought home. Jemima spent some time with our friends at Forever Friends Animal Rescue but was struggling to come out of her shell.
Jemima spent some time in a stable with a friendly goat so she could learn to trust us and after a short time, she joined the main goat herd in the big paddock! She now comes ZOOMING over with everyone else in the hopes of yummy offerings.
She is very curious and wants to trust you, but she's been given every reason not to trust humans before she came to us. She responds well to calm, kind voices and gets excited when you offer her snacks.
Jemima has a floppy, small left ear with no ear drum! Vets are unconcerned as it poses no concern to her health.
Jemima needs to be adopted with at least 2 goat friends if you don't have goats at home - we can recommend who Jem will be most happy with. She has a submissive nature, so no scary, dominating companions for this girl!
